What will be covered
The Portfolio is worth 75 marks out of the 150-mark project component. This focused 2 hour seminar will teach you exactly how to produce a high-quality, exam-ready portfolio for your Construction Studies project.
A strong, well-structured portfolio is essential for maximising marks and supporting a good practical project.
You will learn how to structure your portfolio, what each section must include, and how to present your work to H1 standard.
Topics include: Writing an effective brief; in-depth research; presenting design ideas; presenting detailed final-solution sketches; cutting lists; manufacturing photos and captions; and producing a strong evaluation.
You will see clear high-quality vs low-quality examples of work, helping you understand exactly what examiners look for so you fully understand what is expected to achieve high marks.
Suitable for both furniture and building-system projects. Ideal for any student aiming to achieve the highest possible marks in their Construction Studies coursework.
