Gary Wade

Gary Wade is one of Ireland's most experienced Economics practitioners. He is currently a state examiner with respect to the Irish Leaving Certificate as well as fulfilling his role as head of teaching at the Cork School of Economics. 
With a degree and masters graduate of University College Cork, Gary subsequently furthered his studies at the University of Limerick, the University of Chicago, the London School of Economics and Oxford University in the field of advanced econometrics.

Gary acted as Chief Economics Advisor to the history-making Irish Leaving Cert Schools Economics Team which competed in the International Economic Olympiad in Saint Petersburg, Russia in 2019. This is a global competition to establish the most outstanding economics students in the world. This Irish team made a little bit of history by returning with two bronze medals.

Notably, Gary is a former winner of the Government of Ireland (IRCHSS) Scholarship as well as the University of Limerick Registrar’s Scholarship in Economics.
