What our teachers say
The students enjoyed using a hands on approach to visualise quadratic functions. The workshop gave students an opportunity to use a unique approach to maths which was very enjoyable to a typical maths lesson. Students got to explore and express their creative side
ANna, teacher 2026
They loved the interactive elements of the workshop. The learning was made clear and they were engaged the whole way through. The facilitator was great at working with our students and keeping them engaged and entertained.
Dylan, Teacher 2025
They really enjoyed the hands on activities, working with matchsticks and especially the juggling.
Teacher 2026
Sean was extremely organised, polite and friendly from the moment he came into our school. The boys had a ball. I would highly recommend this workshop.

The facilitator was very energetic and clear with instructions, it was very fun and engaging.
sophie, student 2026
Juggling was fun, alternating through both learning maths and practical juggling is a great way for the mind to relax and be active in short periods, that’s very clever.
saoirse, student 2026
The workshop showed me it’s easier to learn when you're enjoying something or working towards something.

Mind, Maths and Motion FAQs
Where does the workshop take place?
We come to you! It works best in a large area but students will need tables and chairs, and the instructor will need access to WIFI and a projector screen
How many students can you cater for?
The workshop works best with one class group of up to 30 students. This gives us the best opportunity to monitor their progress and keep an eye to prevent throwing.
Does a teacher need to be present during the workshop?
Yes. For child protection reasons it’s important that a teacher is present. While we would love to teach them to juggle too, they are welcome to do some corrections if needed!
How long does the workshop last?
2 hours. If you want a taster, it is possible to tailor it to 1.5 hours, but the students only see real progress after 2 hours and we want them to feel inspired to try it at home.
Do the students need anything with them?
A pencil. And don’t worry, our facilitators will have plenty of spares on the day too as well as spare rubbers, sharpeners, worksheets, calculators.
Does it actually relate to the LC curriculum?
Yes. We begin looking at quadratic patterns, then sketch this as a quadratic graph before finding the equations that can be used to model it in three different forms: Factorised form, standard form and completed square form. Our experienced facilitators can gauge whether the material is too difficult or not, and tailor it to their needs.
Can you repeat the workshop?
Yes. Our facilitators can do two 2-hour workshops each day.
Our timetable is a little tricky, can we work around it?
Absolutely. Contact Seán on 089 9596278, discuss the issue and we will make it work
Don't take our word for it
