What will be Covered
This 20-hour in-person preparation course in MTU Cork is designed to help incoming 6th Year Higher Level Maths students begin the year with confidence and momentum. Across the four days, students will revise key 5th Year topics and get an early introduction to some important 6th Year material.
Topics covered include:
• Algebra and Logarithms
• Trigonometry
• Co-ordinate Geometry
• Functions and Graphs
• Introduction to Differentiation
• Problem Solving and Exam Technique
A major benefit of the course is that students return to school mathematically active after the summer break, making the transition into 6th Year far smoother. The course focuses strongly on understanding, confidence and avoiding common mistakes, helping students build a strong foundation for Leaving Cert Higher Level Maths.
